From Eat Street, with Love is a collection of stories and dishes from a unique section of Nicollet Avenue, in Minneapolis, MN.


Zeus Jones had made the move to Nicollet, and wanted to find a way to celebrate and support this new community we were a part of. What better way then with food! The cookbook allowed us to feature the incredible flavors from the street, and deliver recipes anyone can make at home. The cookbook is available for purchase at Greater Goods, Magers & Quinn, and Mia. Every book sold donated proceeds to The Whittier Alliance, giving back to the community the cookbook is a part of.

Photography

I worked with the team to capture the photography needed for the cookbook. We created a look that showcased a mix of the look and feel of the restaurant, as well as how the dishes would look and feel if you prepared them at home. The mix of imagery created a rich a robust range of imagery, showing the cooking process, to the restaurant's unique setting, to the final plated dish.

Illustrations

To break up the imagery and add a handmade element, I illustrated simple line drawings throughout the book. The element was used as a simple illustrative touch, to how to properly roll an enchilada.
